Aims and Objective

  • The primary aim of the Department of Zoology is to produce skilled professionals who contribute to the fields of wildlife conservation, ecological research, and environmental sustainability. With this broad goal in mind, the following specific objectives have been outlined:
  • To prepare students for careers in wildlife conservation, environmental management, research institutions, and zoological organizations.
  • To equip students with scientific knowledge and practical skills necessary for conducting research in animal biology, biodiversity, and ecosystem sustainability.
  • To undertake research on emerging issues related to wildlife conservation, climate change, habitat preservation, and ecological balance.
  • To develop expertise in specialized fields such as entomology, genetics, marine biology, and animal physiology, ensuring students gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience.
